Cycling Victoria is seeking expressions of interest for the Victorian State Junior Development Program. The goal of this initiative is to provide a clear structure to build track riding and racing competence.

Background :

There is a noticeable gap in development levels between Country and Metropolitan Juniors and large and small Metropolitan Club based riders. This lack of development is highlighted at track events such as NJTS, Christmas Carnivals, Echuca/Moama and State Championships. Our current system of pre-selecting the State Training Squad exacerbates the issue. It is very difficult for anyone outside this squad to gain the track time at DISC and in turn develop their skills and tactics.

Eligibility:

Riders from J15 and J17 can apply to CV by expression of interest by emailing Craig Eastwood (craig.eastwood@cycling.org.au) by Friday April 21 2017.

Where & when:

May 28, June 25, July 23, August 13 from 9:30am-12pm at DISC to coincide with the Momnium Events.

Coaches and Fees:

The sessions will be led by coaches Vanessa Bof, Jamie Gooding and Emerson Harwood.

Fees will be determined once the EOI period is over and numbers are known.
