Direct Energie have named a squad built around stage victories for the Tour de France. It will be led by Lilian Calmejane. The French climber won a stage last year finishing 35th in the GC. He will look to go better this year.
Sylvain Chavanel will line up for a record 18th Tour de France. He last won a stage back in 2010 and in what could be his last Tour, will be looking to add another stage. Either way, he brings experience to the squad.
Tomas Boudat will be the team’s sprinter. The 24 year old has two victories this year and will look to match it against the best in the world.
Multiple Estonian champion Rein Taaramae is also another one that can finish top 20 in the GC and a stage win is also possible.
Rounding out the team are Jerome Cousin, Damien Gaudin, Romain Sicard and Fabien Grellier
