After a rest day, we hit three stages that suit the sprinters and this is a pure sprint one.

Elia Viviani $1.65/$1.15 – Got lost in the last stage which was won by Nacer Bouhanni. Quick Step won’t make the same mistake again. It is his stage to lose. If he is up there, he wins.

Nacer Bouhanni $7/$2.20 – Whilst it was a good win, he only won because Viviani wasn’t in position. Lightning won’t strike twice.

Peter Sagan $5/$1.80 – Won’t win this flat stage.

Danny Van Poppel $10/$2 – Has the best train here and they did their job for him when he came second to Bouhanni. He is not fast enough to win as shown, but he can hope for a podium.

Giacomo Nizzolo $12/$3 – Will be thereabouts. I think his second place earlier in the race was more a fluke though.

Maximillian Walscheid $23/$4.50, Matteo Trentin $34/$7, Simone Consonni $23/$4.50, Ryan Gibbons $51/$13 and Marc Sarreau $51/$13 will all look to try and get on the podium but will find it hard.

Quick Step Floor should get things right and Viviani should take the first of what could be the start of 3 consecutive wins.

  1. Elia Viviani
  2. Danny Van Poppel
  3. Peter Sagan
